What is a limit order to open?

A limit order is a type of instruction used in trading to buy or sell a financial instrument, such as a CFD, at a specified price level that is better than the current market price.

When placing a limit order, the trader sets a specific price level at which they are willing to execute the trade. It's important to note that while limit orders provide control over the execution price, there is no guarantee that the order will be filled. If the market does not reach the specified limit price, the order may remain pending and unfilled. Pending limit orders can be found in the ‘Portfolio’ tab in the app.
